Brenda & Kevin’s Courthouse Wedding in Howard County, Maryland
A brief look at Brenda and Kevin’s intimate courthouse wedding in Howard County, Maryland, celebrating their love with a simple, meaningful ceremony and timeless portraits.

On June 12th, Brenda and Kevin Brown celebrated a very special chapter of their story with an intimate courthouse wedding in Howard County, Maryland.
As a Brazilian couple living in the United States, their wedding day was simple, meaningful, and focused on what mattered most: being together and officially beginning this new chapter as husband and wife.
Courthouse weddings have such a unique charm. There is something beautiful about the intimacy of a smaller celebration, where the focus stays completely on the couple and the emotions of the day. Brenda and Kevin’s wedding was a perfect example of how a civil ceremony can still feel elegant, personal, and full of meaning.
After the ceremony, we took time to create portraits that reflected their personalities and the significance of the moment. My goal was to document the day naturally while also creating timeless images they could keep as part of their family story.
Photographing Brazilian couples in Maryland is always especially meaningful to me. Being able to understand the culture, language, and little details that are part of the experience makes the photography process feel even more personal.
If you are planning a courthouse wedding in Howard County, an intimate wedding in Maryland, or a civil wedding ceremony, you do not need a large celebration to have beautiful photographs of your day. Even a short courthouse ceremony can become a meaningful wedding experience worth documenting.
Congratulations again to Brenda and Kevin. It was such a pleasure photographing this important milestone in your story. 🤍
